Why “Mini-Strokes” (TIAs) Are a Major Neurological Red Flag
A transient ischemic attack (TIA), often incorrectly called a “mini-stroke,” is a temporary interruption of blood flow to part of the brain. While symptoms may resolve within minutes or hours, a TIA should never be ignored. It is often a warning sign that a future stroke may occur and requires immediate medical evaluation to identify underlying risk factors and help prevent more serious neurological events.
